Seems the Samurai Shodown Contest on FGE will raise both the number of deviations related to the series (around 1800 currently) as well as the overall quality of the related art. Also nice that some of the really super rarely SS characters were drawn for this contest

Samurai Shodown Art Contest (Update!)Update, 04.01.2013. Beside it being a contest, the Samurai Shodown contest is also meant as a form to show that we like this damn great fighting game series, it does not only matter how good you can draw or that you can win something, its a way to tribute Samurai Shodown and SNK as well.
Okay, i hope that a lot artists participate in this contest to kick off 2013 on FGE in a really cool way for a really cool oldschool fighting game series, so i thought..okay..if over 20 artists participate, it better has 3 winners instead of only one. this means, instead of "only" a 12 Month Premium Account here on dA for the number 1 winner, gold and silver are getting something too!

Get 1 of the listed games on Steam for drawing a full-body Illustration with a transparent background similar to the examples above.
The fan arts will be used for the FGE & GA-HQ Game Character Database Project without any commercial interest .
Deadline is 1 Month from the day you claimed it. I have only one key per game.

Get The King of Fighters XIV on PC for...
drawing three characters of your choice from KOF XIV in their designs from the game.
They should be full body without a background, similar to:

You will get the code for the game on Steam after submitting all three. Any KOF XIV characters goes, including the dlc ones that appeared for the game. You would get a deadline of 1 month for all 3
